The first edition of the World Day of Friends of Museums will take place this year on the second Sunday of October to celebrate the community of 2 millions enthusiasts worldwide, under the theme “Your museums, our passion!”
It follows on from the European Day of Friends of Museums celebrated since 2023.
150 associations of 14 countries participated in 2025. We hope more this year to showcase to the public in their museum the actions they carry out throughout the year to share their passion and contribution to their museums’ influence.
