YOUNG FRIENDS

How old are the Young Members?
They are between 18 and 35 years old.

What are the benefits of Young Friends sections for our Friends associations ?
The integration of Young Friends sections within museum Friends associations is a key driver for their renewal and sustainability. By attracting a younger audience, these sections facilitate the generational transition and ensure the long-term continuity of the associations. Thanks to their dynamism and proficiency with digital tools, Young Friends help increase the visibility of the associations, particularly on social media, thereby enhancing their reach among cultural institutions and the general public. Their involvement also allows for a diversification of activities, with formats suited to their availability, such as evening or weekend events. They bring fresh energy by introducing innovative ideas that enrich programming and appeal to a broader audience. Moreover, intergenerational interaction fosters valuable exchanges: more experienced members share their knowledge and expertise, while younger members offer a contemporary approach to cultural practices. By fully integrating into the associations while developing their own initiatives, Young Friends become strategic pillars, contributing to their vitality and strengthening their position in the cultural landscape.
