Second European Day of Friends of Museums
Supported by eight Federations, the second European Day of Friends of Museums will take place on Sunday October 13, 2024, and will be celebrated under the common theme that Members have chosen: “Your museums, our passion!”
Friends of Museums shall emphasize that museums are there to be enjoyed by all, that we have a shared responsibility for their preservation and promotion and that the museums are important as spaces of encounter and cultural enrichment for all.
The event would include over a thousand friends of museum associations all over Europe participating on this special day. Each group includes passionate individuals who want to share and spread their enthusiasm and act as ambassadors. Friends support their museums in acquisitions, financing exhibitions and conservation projects, and taking on important tasks in cultural and social education.
